I am excited to start my second year as Assistant Principal of James F. Delaney Elementary.
This is my tenth year in education. I had spent the previous four years in KISD, first as a U.S. History teacher at Kennedale Junior High and then as a Principal Intern for Patterson Elementary and Arthur Intermediate schools. Prior to KISD, I taught at DeSoto West Middle school for four years, including the final three in their inaugural Male Leadership Academy.
My wife Sharon and I have been happily married for 26 years. We have an adult son, Garrett, who graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and now works as a Project Superintendent in the commercial construction industry.
Even though I moved out of the classroom and into campus administration, I maintain the motto of “students are not just my students for one year, but rather they are my students for a lifetime”.
